Healthpoint is seeking a skilled and patient-focused Radiography Technologist (MRI) to join the Diagnostic Imaging team. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing high-quality Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) examinations while ensuring patient safety, comfort, and exceptional service standards. This role requires advanced technical expertise in MRI imaging, adherence to MRI safety protocols, and collaboration with radiologists and multidisciplinary teams to support accurate diagnosis and patient-centered care.

Healthpoint is seeking a skilled and patient-focused Radiography Technologist (MRI) to join the Diagnostic Imaging team. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing high-quality Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) examinations while ensuring patient safety, comfort, and exceptional service standards. This role requires advanced technical expertise in MRI imaging, adherence to MRI safety protocols, and collaboration with radiologists and multidisciplinary teams to support accurate diagnosis and patient-centered care.
Responsibilities
- Perform MRI examinations in accordance with physician requests, departmental protocols, and quality standards.
- Operate and monitor MRI equipment safely and efficiently to obtain optimal diagnostic image quality.
- Conduct comprehensive MRI patient screening to identify contraindications, implants, and potential safety risks prior to imaging procedures.
- Select appropriate MRI protocols and imaging sequences based on clinical indications and radiologist requirements.
- Position patients accurately to ensure optimal image acquisition while maintaining patient comfort and dignity.
- Perform contrast-enhanced MRI examinations in accordance with departmental policies and patient safety guidelines.
- Recognize and manage MRI-related safety risks, ensuring compliance with MRI safety standards and emergency procedures.
- Monitor patients throughout examinations, providing reassurance and support, particularly for anxious or claustrophobic patients.
- Collaborate closely with Radiologists and multidisciplinary teams to optimize imaging outcomes and support accurate diagnosis.
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation within PACS, RIS, and electronic medical record systems.
- Participate in the department's shift rotation and on-call services as required.
- Ensure compliance with infection control standards, quality assurance policies, regulatory requirements, and professional practice guidelines.
- Bachelor’s degree or Diploma of at least 3 years, specifically in MRI.
- Minimum 3 years of post-qualification experience in MRI for the MRI Technologist category.
- Experience with 1.5T and 3T MRI (preferred)
- Experience in neuro, MSK, body, cardiac, breast, and/or angiographic MRI
- (preferred)
- Valid DOH or DHA license (or DOH eligibility); with valid Basic Life Support (BLS)
- Strong knowledge of radiation protection, imaging protocols, and patient safety standards
- Proficiency in basic computer applications and radiology systems
