We are looking for an Operation Theatre Nurse - Trauma Care to provide expert perioperative support for trauma and emergency surgeries, ensuring safe, high-quality patient care within a multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive perioperative nursing care for trauma and emergency surgical patients, including pre-operative preparation, intra-operative support, and post-operative recovery.
• Assist surgeons and the multidisciplinary team during trauma and emergency procedures, ensuring patient safety and adherence to aseptic and infection control standards.
• Prepare, check, and manage surgical instruments, equipment, implants, and consumables to ensure readiness and functionality.
• Monitor and document patients’ clinical status and vital signs throughout the perioperative journey, escalating concerns as appropriate.
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in accordance with organizational and regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate effectively with surgeons, anesthesiologists, recovery staff, and allied healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care and theatre workflow.
• Participate in quality improvement, infection prevention, and patient safety initiatives to support clinical excellence.
• Provide patient and family education regarding surgical procedures, post-operative care, and recovery expectations.
  
  

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing or equivalent.
• Valid DOH, DHA, or MOH license, or DOH Eligibility.
• Minimum 2 years of recent Operating Theatre experience, preferably supporting trauma, emergency, or acute surgical procedures.
• Current BLS and ACLS certification.
• Experience in managing trauma cases, emergency surgeries, and multidisciplinary surgical teams is an advantage.
