Job Description

Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Resident Engineer (Marine) to join our team!

In this role you will lead the construction supervision and day-to-day delivery of complex marine works packages, ensuring the Contractor's works are executed safely and in accordance with the contract documents, approved designs, specifications, quality requirements and project programme.

What You'll Be Doing

• Lead the construction supervision of marine works including dredging, reclamation and marine edges.
• Manage and coordinate the site supervision team, including engineers and inspectors.
• Monitor Contractor activities for compliance with drawings, specifications, approved methods, quality and HSE requirements.
• Review technical submissions, RFIs, method statements, materials and inspection requests.
• Resolve site and technical issues and coordinate interfaces with adjacent civil and infrastructure works.
• Monitor construction progress, identify constraints and report on programme and performance.
• Coordinate inspections, testing, quality records, snagging and final handover.
• Liaise with the Client, Contractor, project management team and other key stakeholders.
  
  
  

What Required Skills You'll Bring

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil, Marine, Structural Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
• 15+ years' relevant construction experience, including significant marine works experience.
• Proven experience supervising dredging, reclamation, marine edges and associated civil/structural works.
• Strong knowledge of construction supervision, quality, HSE and inspection processes.
• Ability to interpret drawings, specifications and construction methodologies and resolve site issues.
• Strong leadership, communication and Contractor coordination skills.
  
  
  

What Desired Skills You'll Bring

• Previous experience as a Resident Engineer or Senior Construction Engineer on major marine projects.
• Experience delivering large-scale dredging, reclamation and marine edge works.
• Experience on major infrastructure or waterfront developments in the UAE/Middle East.
• Strong commercial awareness and understanding of construction records, progress and change management.
