As a Retail Associate, a typical day might include the following:

• Welcoming and engaging with customers as they enter the store
• Assessing customers’ needs and suggesting solutions to their problems
• General cash handling. Working with cash registers and processing payments
• Setting and attaining sales goals
• Giving customers advice about sales and promotions
• Using upselling techniques to increase store sales
• Promoting Footy Depot in a positive and professional manner
• Recommending the best products to customers
• Cleaning and restocking the store throughout the day, before opening and after closing

Key Responsibilities

This job might be for you if you demonstrate the following abilities and meet these qualifications:

• Must be 17 years or older
• A strong passion for soccer and general knowledge of soccer merchandise or trading cards
• Minimum of one year of relevant experience in retail, sports, or a customer-facing role
• High school diploma or GED (or currently working toward one)
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
• Ability to meet or exceed sales and customer service goals
• Comfortable interacting and engaging with customers
• Basic computer skills (POS system knowledge is a plus)
• Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
• Ability to lift/carry up to 30 lbs and move throughout the sales floor and stockroom
• Understanding of basic retail metrics and KPIs to help drive store performance
