Sales Executive

We're building something different at Fortis — a fintech that puts software, loyalty, and payments in one place for small and medium businesses across the UAE. We're growing fast, and we're looking for a driven Sales Executive (Payments) to join our payments acquisition team. You'll be handling inbound merchant leads, qualifying them fast, and closing payment acquiring deals remotely.
What you'll be doing
- Contacting inbound leads within defined SLA and qualifying merchants on processing volume, current acquiring setup, and settlement needs
- Delivering clear, confident payments pitches — MDR, settlement speed, acceptance methods, onboarding timelines
- Closing payment acquiring deals remotely across phone and digital channels
- Routing complex or enterprise-volume deals to the right teams with clean handover documentation
- Keeping CRM records accurate and pipeline healthy — lead status, call notes, closed/lost reasons
- Hitting monthly targets for won deals and lead-to-won conversion rate
What we're looking for
We're open to a range of backgrounds — here's what matters most:
- 1–3 years of experience in a customer-facing role — payments sales, merchant acquiring, bank sales, or customer service / technical support in fintech or banking
- Understanding of basic payments concepts: MDR, interchange, settlement cycles — or genuine eagerness to learn them fast
- Confident on the phone, comfortable handling objections, and able to run a full sales conversation independently
- Disciplined with CRM and process — you follow up, you document, you don't let leads go cold
- Arabic, Hindi, Urdu, or Malayalam speaker is a strong plus
No prior payments experience? If you've worked in a fast-paced customer-facing environment — bank call center, technical support, customer success — and you're hungry to move into sales, we'd also love to hear from you.
