We are currently looking for a passionate and commercially driven Sales Manager - Weddings & Social Events (Proactive) to join our Sales & Marketing team.

A little taste of your day-to-day

Every day is different, but you'll mostly be:

  • Proactively driving wedding and social events business through new client acquisition and account development.
  • Building strong relationships with destination wedding planners, event organisers, travel partners, and key industry stakeholders.
  • Identifying new business opportunities through sales calls, networking events, wedding exhibitions, and market research.
  • Conducting site inspections, presentations, and contract negotiations to convert enquiries into confirmed business.
  • Working closely with Catering & Events, Revenue, Reservations, and Operations teams to ensure seamless event planning and delivery.
  • Achieving revenue and production targets while maximising profitability across weddings, celebrations, and social events.
  • Representing the resort and the InterContinental brand at industry events, roadshows, and sales missions.
  • Maintaining accurate sales activity, forecasting, and account management within company systems.

What we need from you

  • Bachelor's Degree in Hospitality Management, Sales, Marketing, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum of 2 years' hotel sales experience within weddings, social events, banquets, or luxury hospitality.
  • Proven experience handling destination weddings and multi-day celebrations. Experience with the Indian wedding market will be a distinct advantage.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Commercially minded with a strong understanding of pricing, budgeting, and revenue management.
  • Experience using Opera PMS, Delphi, Cvent, and Microsoft Office.
  • A proactive, organised, and results-oriented approach with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Flexibility to travel for sales missions and work evenings, weekends, and public holidays when business requires.
