Senior Expediting Officer

Purpose of the position: The Senior Expediting Officer is responsible for monitoring and coordinating the timely delivery of materials, equipment, and related documentation in accordance with Purchase Order requirements and project schedules. This role ensures effective coordination with vendors and internal stakeholders, proactively identifying potential delays and supporting corrective actions to meet contractual delivery dates and project requirements

How can you support us? Here are below your responsibilities:

• Monitor Purchase Orders and vendor activities to ensure on-time delivery of materials and documentation.
• Follow up on all supply phases, including engineering, procurement, manufacturing, inspection, shipment, and transportation.
• Perform field expediting activities, including direct follow-up with manufacturers/factories to monitor production progress, critical milestones, inspections, and delivery schedules.
• Coordinate with vendors and internal teams to identify and resolve potential delays.
• Monitor delivery schedules, milestones, material status, and shipping documentation.
• Maintain accurate SAP updates and support vendor performance monitoring and corrective actions when required.
  
  

What are we looking for?

Education: Bachelor’s degree in: Engineering

Experience: 10 as Senior Expediting Officer

Languages: English

Technical Skills

• Experience in Expediting, particularly Field Expediting, within Oil & Gas, EPC, or similar projects.
• Experience handling structural and mechanical commodities, with the ability to provide a breakdown of commodities handled, such as:
• Valves
• Fittings and flanges
• Seamless and line pipes
• Plates
• Structural steel and other mechanical/piping materials
• Good knowledge of Purchase Orders, vendor management, manufacturing, inspection, shipping, and logistics processes.
• Candidates should be able to provide details of the manufacturers/factories they have worked with or visited, together with the relevant commodities.
• SAP knowledge as preference and strong communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
