Job Purpose
Manage the accurate and timely creation, maintenance, and inactivation of master data in Oracle EBS, ensuring requests meet approved business requirements, validation standards, and governance controls. Support BUs with query resolution and lead data standardization and cleansing exercises across the organization.

Key Responsibilities
- Master Data Operations: Create, update, and inactivate records in Oracle EBS within agreed service levels, validating accuracy, completeness, supporting documents, approvals, and duplicates before processing.
- Governance & Controls: Apply approved naming conventions, mandatory fields, business rules, maker-checker controls, segregation of duties, and access restrictions; maintain audit trails and protect sensitive information.
- BU Support & Query Resolution: Resolve master data queries, investigate root causes, and coordinate with business stakeholders and IT; provide guidance on request requirements, processes, and status.
- Data Standardization & Cleansing: Lead exercises to standardize data and correct duplicate, incomplete, inaccurate, inconsistent, or obsolete records. Coordinate standards and corrective actions with Data Owners, Data Stewards, BUs, and the Data Governance team, securing approvals before updates.
- Data Quality & Performance: Conduct periodic quality reviews, recommend preventive actions, and monitor request volumes, ageing, turnaround times, recurring errors, and cleansing progress; escalate issues and dependencies.
- Process & System Improvements: Maintain SOPs and validation checklists, train BU users, and support data migration, reconciliation, system testing, and ERP improvement initiatives.
- Project & Stakeholder Support: Support master data projects through stakeholder discussions, requirements gathering, and coordination with BUs and IT. Explain master data structures, dependencies, and system requirements; help resolve issues, recommend practical solutions, and support testing and implementation.
- Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, Information Systems, Supply Chain, or a related discipline. Relevant Oracle EBS, MDM, Data Governance, or Data Quality certification is an advantage.
- Typically, 6–8 years of relevant experience in master data management or operations, preferably within an FMCG, food manufacturing, or distribution environment.
- Strong hands-on experience in creating and maintaining master data in Oracle EBS.
- Experience managing master data across multiple business functions and understanding its impact on downstream transactions.
- Demonstrated experience coordinating or leading data standardization and cleansing exercises.
- Experience supporting BUs, resolving master data queries, and coordinating with business and technical teams.
- Working knowledge of data governance principles, data quality controls, documentation requirements, and approval workflows.
- Experience in a multi-BU or multi-country environment is preferred.
