YOUR GOALS:
Deliver An Outstanding Guest Experience
- Create authentic and memorable experiences, embodying the warmth and generosity of Italian hospitality.
- Confidently guide guests through the food and wine menu, recommending thoughtful wine pairings.
- Build strong relationships with guests by recognizing preferences, creating personalized experiences, and handling feedback professionally.
- Act as the restaurant's wine reference point, sharing your expertise with guests and the team.
- Train and support colleagues on wine knowledge, service techniques, and pairing recommendations.
- Recognized Sommelier certification (e.g., WSET, Court of Master Sommeliers, AIS, or equivalent).
- Understanding of the supplier chain and ordering
- Oversee the organization and maintenance of the wine cellar and wine list.
- Ensure proper storage conditions, stock rotation (FIFO), and optimal serving temperatures.
- Monitor inventory, conduct regular stock counts, manage purchasing, and collaborate with suppliers to maintain availability while controlling costs and minimizing waste.
- Support the overall Food & Beverage operation whenever required.
- Contribute to achieving departmental revenue and profitability objectives through effective wine management and operational excellence.
