Key Responsibilities

• Diagnose, assess, and manage patients with acute and chronic respiratory conditions.
• Manage respiratory diseases, including asthma, COPD, pneumonia, pulmonary fibrosis, and other lung disorders.
• Conduct comprehensive patient evaluations and develop appropriate treatment plans.
• Perform and interpret pulmonary function tests, spirometry, and other respiratory investigations.
• Perform bronchoscopy and other relevant procedures, where applicable.
• Manage complex respiratory cases and provide specialist consultations.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure coordinated patient care.
• Monitor treatment outcomes and provide ongoing management for chronic respiratory conditions.
• Maintain accurate medical records and comply with established clinical standards.
• Participate in clinical audits, departmental meetings, and quality improvement initiatives.

Requirements

• Recognised postgraduate specialist qualification in Pulmonology, Respiratory Medicine, or Chest Medicine.
• Relevant post-specialisation clinical experience.
• Strong expertise in diagnosing and managing respiratory and pulmonary conditions.
• Experience in a recognised hospital or healthcare institution.
• Knowledge of respiratory diagnostic procedures and treatment protocols.
• Excellent clinical decision-making and communication skills.
• Current professional registration in the country of practice.
