We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced Specialist Orthopedic Surgeon to join a leading healthcare facility in Abu Dhabi, UAE.

The ideal candidate should possess strong expertise in musculoskeletal disorders, fracture management, orthopedic trauma, and surgical treatment of bone and joint conditions. The role requires excellent surgical skills, clinical judgment, and a commitment to delivering high-quality patient care.

Key Responsibilities

• Diagnose and manage musculoskeletal disorders, fractures, joint diseases, and orthopedic injuries.
• Perform elective and emergency orthopedic surgical procedures within authorized clinical privileges.
• Manage orthopedic trauma, fractures, dislocations, and sports-related injuries.
• Perform arthroscopic and minimally invasive orthopedic procedures, as clinically indicated.
• Diagnose and treat osteoarthritis, ligament injuries, tendon disorders, and musculoskeletal deformities.
• Assist with or perform joint replacement procedures, according to qualifications and approved clinical privileges.
• Conduct comprehensive preoperative assessments and develop individualized surgical treatment plans.
• Provide postoperative care, monitor recovery, and manage surgical complications.
• Interpret X-rays, CT scans, MRI findings, and other orthopedic diagnostic investigations.
• Collaborate with anesthesiologists, physiotherapists, rehabilitation specialists, and multidisciplinary surgical teams.
• Ensure compliance with DOH regulations, surgical safety protocols, infection control, and patient care standards.

Requirements

Qualifications

• MBBS/MD or equivalent recognized medical degree.
• Recognized postgraduate qualification or residency training in Orthopedic Surgery.
• Board certification or equivalent recognized specialist-level qualification in Orthopedic Surgery.
• Relevant post-specialization clinical experience in Orthopedic Surgery, as required by the applicable UAE PQR.
• Strong expertise in orthopedic trauma, fracture management, arthroscopy, and musculoskeletal surgery.
• Excellent surgical skills, clinical judgment, communication, and teamwork abilities.
• Experience in joint replacement or minimally invasive orthopedic procedures is preferred.
• Eligible for DOH Specialist Orthopedic Surgery classification/license in Abu Dhabi, subject to applicable UAE PQR requirements.
