A leading healthcare facility in Abu Dhabi is seeking a qualified and experienced Specialist Pulmonologist to join its medical team. The ideal candidate will have expertise in diagnosing, treating, and managing respiratory diseases, with a strong commitment to delivering high-quality, patient-centered care.

Key Responsibilities

1. Diagnose and manage acute and chronic respiratory conditions, including asthma, COPD, pneumonia, and interstitial lung diseases.

2. Conduct comprehensive respiratory assessments and develop individualized treatment plans.

3. Interpret pulmonary function tests (PFTs), arterial blood gases, and diagnostic imaging.

4. Perform and interpret diagnostic procedures, including bronchoscopy, within approved clinical privileges.

5. Manage patients with respiratory infections, pulmonary fibrosis, and sleep-related breathing disorders.

6. Provide specialized care for patients with complex pulmonary conditions and respiratory failure.

7. Collaborate with critical care, internal medicine, and other multidisciplinary teams.

8. Monitor treatment outcomes and adjust management plans based on clinical progress.

9. Educate patients on respiratory disease prevention, smoking cessation, and long-term disease management.

10. Maintain accurate medical records and ensure compliance with DOH regulations and hospital policies.

11. Participate in clinical audits, quality improvement initiatives, and continuing medical education.

Requirements

Qualifications & Requirements

• MBBS/MD or equivalent recognized medical qualification.

• Recognized postgraduate specialization in Pulmonology / Respiratory Medicine.

• Valid DOH Specialist License or Eligibility Letter, or eligibility to obtain one.

• Relevant post-qualification clinical experience in accordance with UAE PQR requirements.

• Strong expertise in pulmonary diagnostics, respiratory disease management, and clinical procedures.

• Excellent communication, clinical decision-making, and patient management skills.
