Project Role
- Monitoring materials incorporated within the Works for compliance with requirements. Inspect the works on site to see that they are being built generally in accordance with the Contract drawings and specifications and also with good engineering practice.
- Layout, Fit-up, Final Inspection, Dimension Check & Weld Visual Inspection for Structural Steel Fabrications such as Columns, Beams, Arches, Purlins, Trusses, and Bracings
- Inspect steel fabrication and erection works to ensure compliance with approved drawings, project specifications, and quality standards.
- Review welding, bolting, and other steel connection works, verifying workmanship and adherence to codes and standards.
- Witness as necessary onsite testing required under the contract specifications/ or approved ITP or as required based on project trequirement.
- Conduct material verification and traceability checks for all incoming and installed steel components.
- Coordinate closely with contractors, subcontractors, and project teams to ensure smooth workflow and timely completion of steel works.
- Perform regular site inspections, audits, and quality checks to identify defects, deviations, or non-conformities.
- Prepare detailed inspection reports, document non-conformities, and follow up on corrective actions.
- Ensure all steel works comply with safety regulations, environmental requirements, and project-specific guidelines.
- Support the project quality control and assurance team by providing technical expertise and recommendations.
- Participate in meetings and provide updates on steel works progress, quality issues, and risk mitigation.
- Assist in reviewing contractor method statements, inspection plans, and welding procedures to ensure compliance with project standards.
- Prepare any site measurements and surveying checks as on when needed by Client / Ste Leads.
- Have an understanding of our Business plan, mission statement and key challenges.
- Contribute to the development of company procedures by taking an active role in task groups.
- Attend team meetings and play an active role in the development of procedures within your team.
- Review and comment on company procedures using the feedback system.
- Applying policies relating to health & safety, quality and training
- Agree design philosophy/design fundamentals.
- Review and comment on deliverables produced by Engineers & Technicians at key stages through a project.
- Demonstrates all round technical competence.
- Have knowledge of concept design, buildability, detailed design, construction techniques, procurement routes, risk assessment and claim assessment.
- Have knowledge of analytical concepts.
- Should be responsible for Quality Management (QA) for their team.
- Have knowledge of our delivery in CAD standards and 3D working.
- Understand, implement and follow 9E QHSE policies.
- Implement and coordinate QHSE procedures in your workplace.
- Comply with local regulatory authority guidelines and laws pertaining to QHSE.
- Report any QHSE incidents immediately to 9E QHSE Dept. and to legal authorities if required.
- Abide Client/Contractor QHSE requirements and acquire site induction before mobilizing at sites.
