Job Summary:



The Team Leader – is responsible for leading, motivating, and managing a team of Sales Executives engaged in acquiring new credit card customers. The role focuses on achieving sales targets, ensuring compliance with banking regulations and internal policies, maintaining high productivity levels, and delivering excellent customer service while driving team performance.

Key Responsibilities



Team Management

  • Lead, supervise, and motivate a team of Sales Executives.
  • Allocate sales territories and daily activities to team members.
  • Monitor attendance, productivity, and discipline within the team.
  • Conduct daily briefings, coaching sessions, and performance reviews.
  • Mentor new joiners and support their onboarding and field training.

Sales & Business Development

  • Drive the team to achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets.
  • Develop strategies to maximize customer acquisition and market penetration.
  • Identify new business opportunities through field sales, corporate visits, and referrals.
  • Monitor daily sales activities and ensure effective lead conversion.
  • Ensure high-quality sales with minimal application rejections.

Performance Monitoring



  • Track individual and team performance against KPIs.
  • Analyze sales reports and identify improvement opportunities.
  • Provide corrective action plans for underperforming team members.
  • Submit daily, weekly, and monthly performance reports to management.

Compliance & Quality

  • Ensure adherence to bank policies, compliance requirements, and regulatory guidelines.
  • Verify documentation accuracy before submission.
  • Ensure ethical selling practices and prevent mis-selling.
  • Maintain confidentiality of customer information.
  • Ensure all applications comply with KYC and documentation requirements.

Customer Relationship

  • Handle escalated customer issues professionally.
  • Maintain strong relationships with customers and internal banking stakeholders.
  • Ensure excellent customer experience throughout the sales process.

Coordination

  • Coordinate with Operations, Credit Processing, and Bank Relationship Managers.
  • Follow up on application status and resolve pending documentation.
  • Ensure timely submission of sales documents.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree or Diploma (preferred).

Certification in Sales or Banking is an added advantage.

Required Skills

  • Strong leadership and people management skills.
  • Excellent sales and negotiation abilities.
  • Knowledge of banking products.
  • Strong understanding of KYC and banking compliance requirements.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet aggressive sales targets.
