A Snapshot of Your Day
To support the reorganization of the GS ME Sales Distributed business unit, this new Technical Engineering Team Lead role is established in the United Arab Emirates to drive business continuity and technical excellence in sales operations. The position provides leadership to the technical engineering team while ensuring alignment with strategic regional objectives. To address these organizational aims, this role focuses on team management and onboarding, technical interface coordination with PCC Application Engineers, and comprehensive technical scope reviews across service lines. These core areas ensure seamless coordination between sales operations, field services, and engineering teams. Given the focus on technical leadership and cross-functional coordination, the ideal candidate will possess strong engineering leadership capabilities, extensive experience in gas services or power generation, and proven expertise in outage planning and modernization integration.

Our Gas Services division offers Low-emission power generation through service and decarbonization. Zero or low emission power generation and all gas turbines under one roof, steam turbines and generators. Decarbonization opportunities through service offerings, modernization, and digitalization of the fleet.

How You’ll Make An Impact
- Manage, lead, and mentor the technical engineering team within the Sales Distributed division.
- Design and execute training and onboarding programs for new technical engineers to ensure rapid integration and alignment with standards. Establish performance expectations and provide technical guidance to team members.
- Serve as the single point of contact (SPOC) for all technical queries within the Sales Distributed business area. Manage and optimize technical interfaces and communication channels with PCC Application Engineers.
- Collaborate with sales operations and regional sales teams to align technical offerings with customer requirements.
- Review the technical scope of proposals and solutions across all service lines to ensure accuracy and feasibility.
- Analyze Field Service engineers' post-outage reports to capture lessons learned and improve future execution. Support outage planning and facilitate the integration of Modernization & Upgrade (M&U) solutions into the service portfolio.
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a closely related technical field. Minimum of 6 to 8 years of experience in gas services, power generation, or technical sales engineering, with at least 2 years in a leadership or team lead capacity.
- Proven experience in managing technical interfaces, outage planning, and modernization projects within the Middle East region.
- Project Management Professional (PMP) or equivalent Certified Maintenance & Reliability Professional (CMRP) or equivalent
- Expertise in team leadership and mentoring, technical onboarding and training, and performance management.
- Expertise in gas turbine and power generation technology, outage planning and execution, modernization and upgrade (M&U) integration, and technical scope review and risk assessment.
- Strong skills in cross-functional stakeholder management, technical interface management, and technical problem solving (SPOC).
