JOB DESCRIPTION
- Set up, maintain, and remove traffic control devices such as cones, signs, and barricades.
- Direct traffic flow using hand signals, whistles, and radios.
- Coordinate with other traffic controllers, emergency responders, and construction workers.
- Implement traffic control plans according to relevant standards and regulations.
- Enforce traffic laws and regulations within the work zone.
- Identify and address potential hazards.
- Respond to emergencies and accidents in a timely and professional manner.
- Communicate effectively with workers, pedestrians, and drivers.
- Use two-way radios to coordinate with team members and supervisors.
- Provide clear and concise instructions to ensure safety.
- Complete required paperwork and reports accurately and timely.
- Maintain records of traffic incidents and near-misses.
