Accountant

Role Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing financial records, ensuring accuracy in financial reporting, preparing tax documents, and providing key insights through data analysis. The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of accounting principles, proficiency with financial software, and excellent organizational skills.

Your Mission

Perform And Oversee Financial Data And Compliance By

• Maintaining accurate books on accounts payable and receivable, payroll, and daily financial entries and reconciliations.
• Recording day-to-day financial transactions in accounting system and ensure all transactions are recorded in the correct day book (supplier ledger, customer ledger, general ledger).
• Undertake the quarterly VAT / Tax return and refunds process : prepare, submit on the FTA portal, and follow-up appropriately.
• Take responsibility for the yearly audit in partnership with our external auditor.
• Manage clients accounting by sharing past-dues with the team and sending payment reminders as needed.
• Act as an advisor on changes in the UAE taxation law.
• Undertake general administrative duties such as maintaining the hard and soft copy invoice filing system, assist with administrative enquiries.
• Generate financial reports as needed.
  
  

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or business.
• Over 5 years of experience in a bookkeeping role, at least 3 years of experience with UAE VAT filing.
• Solid understanding of bookkeeping and accounting principles.
• Advanced computer skills, especially Excel and accounting software.
• High degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
• Structure, reliability, and a sense of responsibility are must haves.
• Proficiency in English language, written & spoken, is a must. Any other language, an asset.
