  • Creating periodic reports, such as balance sheets, profit & loss statements, etc.
  • Prepare accurate and timely invoices for vessels and other revenue stream and other back-to-back invoicing and posting into accounting system.
  • Reconciling the company’s bank statements and bookkeeping ledgers.
  • Filing and remitting taxes and other financial obligations
  • Initiating & managing financial and accounting software used by company.
  • Performing audits and resolving discrepancies.
  • Dispatch invoice to clients maintaining full record of acknowledgements.
  • To maintain proper Petty cash & Financial records.
  • Checking and processing of expense claims of all staff.
  • Assist Senior Accountant as required.
  • Ensure proper filing of vouchers, invoices and various other documents related to the task performed in an orderly manner to facilitate audits and retrieval in future.
  • To perform any other task in the accounts department as instructed by Financial Manager
  • Maintains financial security by following internal controls.
  • Prepares asset, liability, and capital account entries by compiling and analyzing account information.

  • Expense management: Monitoring and controlling expenses to ensure that they are within budgeted limits.
  • Revenue recognition: Ensuring that revenue is recognized in accordance with accounting standards and company policies.
  • Cash flow management: Monitoring and managing cash flow to ensure that the organization has sufficient funds to meet its obligations.
  • Audit preparation: Successful completion of internal and external audits
  • Process improvement: Identifying and implementing improvements in accounting processes to increase efficiency and accuracy.

Qualifications

  • Masters/Bachelor's Degree in accounts /finance or Graduate Diploma in Accounting
  • Additional certification (CPA or CMA) is a plus

Must have skills

  • microsoft office
  • Excellent knowledge of accounting regulations and procedures, including the Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
  • Advanced MS Excel skills including Vlookups and pivot tables
  • Knows how to use popular accounting software

Good to have skills

  • Strong attention to detail and good analytical skills
  • Demonstrates strong written and verbal communication skills
