Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Accountant to join our finance team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring that all financial transactions are properly recorded, filed, and reported. The role requires a strong understanding of accounting principles, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently. The accountant will also assist in budgeting processes, prepare financial statements, and ensure that all regulatory and compliance requirements are met. Responsibilities

• Maintain and update financial records, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulations.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, reports, and forecasts.
• Monitor daily financial transactions and address any discrepancies promptly.
• Assist in preparing and analyzing budgets, including variance analysis and forecasting.
• Ensure all financial transactions are accurately documented and filed accordingly.
• Reconcile bank statements and ensure accounts are balanced and accurate.
• Coordinate and complete annual audits, liaising with external auditors as required.
• Review and process expense reports, ensuring adherence to company policies.
• Manage accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely collection and payments.
• Analyze financial data to identify trends, issues, and opportunities for improvement.
• Develop and implement financial controls and initiatives to improve efficiency.
• Stay up-to-date with financial regulations and legislation that affect the business.
  
  

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required.
• Minimum of 3 years of accounting experience in a corporate setting.
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel is essential.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex financial concepts.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks concurrently and meet tight deadlines.
• Knowledge of financial regulations and standards applicable in the industry.
