Accounting Associate (225-715)

Job Description

As an Accounting Associate, you will be an integral part of our finance team, contributing to the accurate and efficient management of financial records and supporting the overall financial health of the organization. You will handle a variety of accounting tasks, including maintaining ledgers, preparing financial statements, and assisting in audits and tax filings. Your attention to detail and strong analytical skills will ensure compliance with accounting principles and company procedures. This role is ideal for someone who is looking to enhance their accounting knowledge and advance their career in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. Collaboration with other team members and departments will be essential to ensure cohesive financial operations.

Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records and ledgers for the company.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in a timely manner.
• Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts for financial planning.
• Ensure compliance with accounting principles and regulatory requirements.
• Assist with audits by preparing required documentation and reports.
• Monitor and reconcile bank statements to ensure accuracy of transactions.
• Process and verify accounts payable and receivable invoices and payments.
• Support tax preparation activities and ensure timely filing of taxes.
• Collaborate with other departments to streamline financial procedures.
• Review and suggest improvements to existing accounting processes and controls.
• Assist in month-end and year-end closing procedures to ensure accuracy.
• Provide support and assistance to senior accountants as needed.
  
  

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field is required.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in an accounting or finance role.
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial regulations.
• Excellent analytical skills with a strong attention to detail required.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet tight deadlines effectively.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills for team collaboration.
