Position Overview

Our fast-growing team at Pemo is currently looking for an Accounting Specialist to join our team. As an Accounting Specialist, you will play a key role in ensuring accurate financial reporting, compliance with accounting standards, and smooth execution of daily accounting operations. You will collaborate closely with the finance team to streamline processes, support audits, and provide valuable financial insights that contribute to Pemo’s growth journey.

What you’ll be doing

• Manage day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with IFRS/local GAAP.
• Perform reconciliations for bank accounts, vendor statements, and intercompany transactions.
• Support payroll processing and related compliance filings.
• Monitor expense reports, corporate card transactions, and ensure accurate allocation of costs.
• Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
• Coordinate with external auditors and tax advisors during audits and statutory filings.
• Ensure compliance with internal controls, company policies, and regulatory requirements.
• Participate in process improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency in financial operations.
  
  

What we need from you

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA/ACCA or equivalent certification is a plus).
• 2-3 years of accounting experience, preferably within fintech, SaaS, or fast-paced startups.
• Strong knowledge of accounting standards and financial regulations.
• Hands-on experience with accounting software (e.g., NetSuite, QuickBooks, SAP, or similar).
• Advanced Excel/Google Sheets skills; strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and time-management skills.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively across teams.
• Fluency in English and Arabic is a MUST.
