About The Job
Based at the Mandarin Oriental Downtown, Dubai within the Accounting Department in Dubai, the Accounts Receivable Executive is responsible for ensuring the accuracy of all charges and credits to the various debtor accounts, ensuring that it is posted to the system. The role also prepares and sends Statements of Accounts to clients on a timely basis, monitors the subsequent collection of all accounts, and completes and updates all individual debtor records. The Accounts Receivable Executive reports to the Credit Manager.

About The Job
Based at the Mandarin Oriental Downtown, Dubai within the Accounting Department in Dubai, the Accounts Receivable Executive is responsible for ensuring the accuracy of all charges and credits to the various debtor accounts, ensuring that it is posted to the system. The role also prepares and sends Statements of Accounts to clients on a timely basis, monitors the subsequent collection of all accounts, and completes and updates all individual debtor records. The Accounts Receivable Executive reports to the Credit Manager.
As an Accounts Receivable Executive, you will be responsible for the following duties:
- Accountable for accurately processing all debtor accounts and ensuring all trade debtors’ invoices are accurate and supported by valid payment guarantees.
- Responsible for promptly issuing invoices to debtors and answering debtor inquiries promptly and effectively.
- Accurately process all checks and payments received daily and ensure all credit card transactions are verified and reconciled daily.
- Ensure that debtors trading beyond their terms are followed up regularly, notify the Credit Manager of persistent issues, and assist in preparing month-end reports.
- Process travel agent commission payments weekly, calculate and post credit card commissions daily, and ensure proper approval for credit card refunds.
- Assist in General Cashier, Income Audit, and Accounts Payable functions as needed, and perform any additional duties assigned by the Credit Manager and Management.
- Hold a Senior School qualification or equivalent, and a Degree or Diploma in Finance.
- Have a minimum of 1-2 years’ experience in accounting, with at least 1 year in a similar capacity.
- Be experienced in POS and PMS Systems (Opera, PSMS, Info Genesis, Micros) and the SUN Accounting System.
- Possess excellent MS Office skills, particularly in Excel and Word.
- Demonstrate strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices and exceptional organisational and analytical skills.
- Exhibit good written and verbal communication skills in English.
