The Role

The Accounts Receivables Coordinator is responsible for accurately processing receipts, issuing invoices, and managing daily banking activities. This role is key in safeguarding against fraud and ensuring financial integrity. The Coordinator will also handle client interactions, resolve payment discrepancies, and maintain accurate financial records. Proficiency in financial platforms and a strong background in accounting or finance are essential, along with the ability to work under pressure and deliver excellent customer service.

Key Responsibilities

Receipt Processing

  • Validate and process significant number of receipts for all payment options (Cash, POS, Cheques, Bank Transfers, etc.) with the highest degree of accuracy.
  • Ensure and verify payment completion against the charges raised in the system.
  • Serve to be the first line of company’s defense against Fraud and Money Counterfeits.

Invoicing / System Posting

  • Process tenant tax invoices for residential and commercial rentals timely and accurately according to standard accounting policies and guidelines.
  • Ensure precise integration of transaction posting from front-line system to back-end accounting system.

Daily Banking

  • Process relevant quantity of cheques and cash due for deposits in compliance with specific issuing bank’s general requirements and guidelines.
  • Validation of daily banking references or slips against the banking summary for accuracy and consistency.
  • Liase with customers, internal departments, and external clients to resolve payment discrepancies or issues.

Reconciliation And Audit

  • Participate in the Daily Closing reconciliation of Petty Cash, Cheques, Bank Transfers, etc. as well as monthly closings.
  • Investigate and Resolve issues of overages, shortages, or any discrepancies with regards to daily payment collections.

Collections

  • Adhere to the Property Management’s imposed charges and thoroughly comply with established collection efforts and schemes.

Document Control And Reporting

  • Maintenance of reliable and accurate database of financial records for reference and reporting.
  • Acts to be the custodian of Financial Documents and assist with Audit requirements.

Customer Service And Client Facing

  • Maintain a high standard of professionalism and demeanor with customer and client’s interaction.
  • Efficient administration of customer’s inquiries and complaints relating to payment discrepancies and disputes.

Skills, Knowledge And Experience

  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail in processing receipts, reconciliation and identifying discrepancies.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills as well as interpersonal skills in dealing with customers and clients.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and
  • Advanced/Proficient with MS Word, Excel, etc as well as other accounting, financial, real estate (Yardi, Oracle, CSB, etc.) platforms.
  • Familiarity with Fraud and Counterfeit detection methods.
  • Broad knowledge with legal and regulatory requirements of cheque processing and bank deposits procedures.
  • High standard of document control and custodianship.
  • Relevant experience with Real Estate accounting procedures and processes.
  • Previous experience of Reconciliation, Cash Management, Cheque Custodianship and Cashiering or Teller functions.
  • Graduate of Accounting or Finance related courses.
  • Fluency in English language. Arabic language will be advantageous.
  • Demonstrate strong teamwork, motivation, and resiliency towards challenges and pressure.
