Job Description

JOB SUMMARY

We are seeking a commercial lead who is a results-driven individual to join our team as the Advertiser Lead for Nielsen in Middle East & Africa. You will be responsible for driving revenue growth and exceeding sales targets across the region. Your main responsibility will be to lead a high-performing team, develop and execute an effective sales strategy, and build strong relationships with the largest agency holding groups and top 500 advertisers.

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Accountable for achieving revenue targets for the Advertiser business in the Middle East.
  • Own and execute a sales strategy for the Advertiser business in the Middle East.
  • Lead and inspire the Middle East & Africa Advertiser sales team to exceed the sales targets.
  • Work closely with internal stakeholders, including post-sales servicing, customer success, marketing, product, and finance, to align sales efforts with company objectives.
  • Identify new business opportunities and develop strong partnerships to expand Nielsen’s presence and market share amongst brands in Middle East & Africa.
  • Build and maintain relationships with key clients including agencies, and advertisers, acting as a trusted advisor and ensuring client satisfaction.
  • Keep up to date with market trends, competition, and customer needs to identify areas for growth and innovation.
  • Forecast sales performance, track progress and provide regular updates to the GM, EMEA.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 7 years of experience in sales, preferably in the media, data, or analytics industry. With at least 3 years of managing a team across regions.
  • Track record of successfully driving sales growth and exceeding revenue targets across the Middle East region.
  • Minimum of 3 years experience in managing and leading a media sales team, with a proven ability to mentor and inspire individuals to achieve.
  • Established network of senior relationships within the media industry, including agency holding groups and top 500 advertisers in the Middle East region.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Arabic is required.
  • Strong business acumen and proven experience of strong negotiation and presentation skills.
  • Comfortable presenting to and negotiating with c-level executives.
  • Ability to navigate complex businesses and manage multiple projects with both short and long sales cycles.
  • Proven ability to work effectively in a fast-paced international commercial environment.
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or related field. An advanced degree is a plus.
