Purpose of the Job

The purpose of this role is to load and unload passenger baggage and freight onto / from the aircraft in a safe and efficient manner. To ensure that the correct and accurate loading and unloading of aircraft as detailed by the CPM or LIR. To ensure consistent delivery of high performance standards within the time constraints of the service level agreements of the customer airlines, whilst maintaining Health & Safety and good working practices in line with company policy.

Key Responsibilities

• To assist the Team Leader with the smooth turn-around of aircraft.
• To work closely with the Team Leader and to follow his instructions to ensure that services are provided in a safe manner and customer requirements are met
• Collect and dispose any F.O.D. in the appropriate manner
• Understanding and acting upon all prevailing Airport Notices and instructions / Company instruction.
• Wingman and passenger escort duties as required.
• Ensuring that all Health & Safety requirements are adhered to and the reporting of those that are not.
• Escorting of staff on a temporary pass.
• Ensuring Company procedures, discipline and performance are met.
• Ensuring Airport Security requirements are adhered to.
• Representing the Company in a professional manner.
• To work in each area of the business as required by the workloads.
• Any other duties and responsibilities that the Company requires in order to achieve the smooth running of the operation.
• To accurately complete the necessary reporting forms day-to-day
• Correct tie-down procedures in line with IATA guidelines
• To ensure that the relevant, Health & Safety and company policy requirements are fully complied with
• To ensure all activities are in compliance with Sharjah Aviation Services, customer airlines and the regulators procedures.
• To ensure company’s uniform and grooming standards are being adhered to at all times.
• To handle the company and airline property with extra care while ensuring no damage occurs

Airport Agents – Loaders

• Collection and loading of gate items.
• Unloading and delivery of items to the gate lounge / aircraft side.
  
  

Porterage

• Collect and safely transport passenger luggage to the desired location in a timely and professional manner
• Securely handle baggage belonging to paying arriving and departing passengers
• Accurately advise passenger of charges and ensure fees are paid in full to the appropriate person
• Advise passengers of all Hala products (wrapping, quick check-in etc.) and discreetly try to turn enquiries into sales

Qualifications

High School Diploma

Experience

• At least 1 year experience in related field
