Arabic speaker Sr. Consultant / Manager – Data Strategy & Architecture

We are supporting a consulting firm in the search for a Sr. Consultant / Manager – Data Strategy & Architecture for a freelance 4-6 months project.

For 1-2 weeks, on-site work in Abu Dhabi, UAE might be required and the rest of the time, remote work is expected.

Target start date: 3rd week of June.

Our client is looking for someone who has been part of Data Strategy & Architecture projects, collaborated with a broad range of stakeholders, interacted with clients, mentored and supported data consultants and strategists, and assessed business strategy in connection with the value of data at scale.

Responsibilities:

• Help the client to create and obtain value from its data and intelligence assets through a range of services and technologies
• Create solutions that ingest data from a wide range of sources and formats to provide value through analysis, reporting, insights, and cognitive services that learn automatically, to recommend actions, automate processes and take decisions to achieve a goal
• Design, build and operate architectures, infrastructures and integration solutions that support the lifecycle management of company data assets, from acquisition to trusted consumption and monetization
• Articulate information strategies that enable business transformation through value of data and trusted intelligence at scale
• Capacity to develop high impact thought leadership that articulates a forward-thinking view of the market

Professional background

Must-haves:

• Fully fluent in Arabic and English
• Proven experience as a technology consultant or equivalent (5 – 8 Years+).
• Demonstrable Data Management & Strategy experience at CxO / executive level
• Experience managing and responding to client RFPs, including solution design, approach modelling and pricing
• Deep experience in and understanding of at least one of the following sectors: Government, Transportation, or Healthcare
• Certified in DAMA (Data Management) or Azure Data Architecture or Google Cloud Data Analytics or AWS Data Analytics
• Experience in the Middle East region
• Minimum of Bachelor’s degree, Masters preferable.
• Experience in deal shaping & strong presentation skills, leading proposal experience, customer orals; technical understanding of data platforms, data on cloud strategy, data strategy, data operating model, change management of data transformation programs, data modelling skills

Data Strategy:

• Understands and assesses business strategy in connection with the value of data at scale
• Articulates information strategies that meet business objectives by establishing a vision and a target state for organization, people, data and technology
• Works with other Information Management & Analysis professionals, the program team, management and stakeholders to design and build analytics solutions in a way that will deliver business value.
• Designs and/or applies a comprehensive collection of methods, practices, policies, tools and processes to govern and control the entire lifecycle of all the data assets of a company, ensuring their protection, governance, trusted consumption and monetization.
• Performs maturity assessments on data management capabilities, designs related organization and operating models and advises on tools and roadmaps to implement them

Data Architecture:

• Data on Cloud Architect – Technical understanding of data platform strategy for data on cloud migrations, big data technologies, experience in architecting large scale data lake and DW on cloud solutions. Experience in one or more technologies in this space: AWS, Azure, GCP, AliCloud, Snowflake, Hadoop, Cloudera
• Data Transformation Lead – Understanding of data supply chain and data platforms on cloud, experience in conducting alignment workshops, building value realization framework for data transformations, program management experience
• MDM / DQ/ DG Architect – Data Governance & Management SME for areas including Data Quality, MDM, Metadata, data lineage, data catalog. Experience one or more technologies in this space: Collibra, Talend, Informatica, SAP MDG, Stibo, Alteryx, Alation etc.
