Architectural Draughtsman - AutoCad and Revit

Job Summary

Al Mujassam Architects & Engineers is seeking a detail-oriented and technically strong Architectural Draftsman proficient in both AutoCAD and Revit. The ideal candidate will have solid experience working with Dubai standards, preparing clear and accurate drawings, coordinating with different disciplines, and maintaining high drafting quality across all project stages.

This role supports our architectural and structural teams by producing reliable drawings and models that align with UAE regulations and internal company standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Architectural & Technical Drafting


• Prepare detailed plans, sections, elevations, details, and coordination drawings using both AutoCAD and Revit.


• Ensure all drawings follow DM standards, local regulations, and project specifications.


• Maintain proper layering, line weights, annotations, and documentation standards.


• Develop and update Revit models for architectural works.


• Coordinate Revit models with structural and MEP disciplines.


• Extract sheets, views, schedules, and details from the Revit model accurately.


• Maintain clean, optimized, and organized Revit files throughout the project lifecycle.


• Coordinate with architects, structural engineers, and site teams.


• Update drawings promptly based on design changes or consultant comments.


• Support authority submissions and ensure all required drawings are ready on time.


• Maintain organized project files for easy retrieval and clarity.

Added Value (Bonus Advantage)

• Experience in structural drafting (highly preferred but not mandatory).


• Familiarity with DM and DDA submission portals.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 4 years of experience.


• From them Minimum 2 years of drafting experience in Dubai (mandatory).


• Good understanding of Dubai Municipality and local authority standards.


• Ability to read and interpret architectural and structural drawings.

Required Software

• AutoCAD – architectural drafting (Strong proficiency)


• Revit – modeling & coordination (Strong working knowledge)


• Microsoft Office Suite – documentation & communication

Preferred (Bonus)

• SketchUp


• Photoshop (for presentations)


• Basic rendering tools


• Familiarity with DM and DDA submission portals.


• Experience in structural drafting

Salary & Benefits

• Monthly Salary: AED 6,000 – 8,000


• Salary depends on experience, technical skills, and preferred skills.

Interview Process

• Phone Interview – to confirm experience and technical background


• Technical Interview: on Zoom


• Technical Evaluation: AutoCAD and Revit Designs.


• Final Interview – in office. Will include evaluation of computer literacy and soft skills. And will review expectations, responsibilities, and company policies
