Assets and Reliability Engineer, dnata Cargo

Job Purpose

As Assets & Reliability Engineer, you will develop, implement, and manage dnata Cargo's infrastructure initiatives-encompassing facilities and equipment expansion, automation, and maintenance projects-ensuring operational excellence and the delivery of world-class service standards.

The role is responsible for planning and overseeing infrastructure investments and maintenance programs within defined budget limits, while maintaining up-to-date cash flow forecasts to ensure financial readiness throughout the fiscal period. This is a full-time role and is based in our Dubai office.

In This Role, You Will

• Infrastructure Planning & Reviews: Lead regular assessments of dnata Cargo facilities to identify improvement areas, ensure compliance, and uphold world-class maintenance and safety standards.
• Performance & Cost Management: Develop and maintain infrastructure performance benchmarks and accurate cost forecasting models to support strategic goals and budget planning.
• Space & Capacity Optimization: Collaborate with internal teams to plan and manage floor space effectively; provide regular reports to support capacity forecasting and operational efficiency.
• Risk & Compliance Oversight: Identify infrastructure risks, document mitigation strategies, and escalate critical issues to management for review and action.
• Project & Maintenance Delivery: Manage end-to-end infrastructure projects and ongoing maintenance, ensuring minimal business disruption and alignment with operational needs.
• Vendor & SLA Management: Oversee vendor performance through clear SLAs; monitor delivery, resolve issues, and ensure alignment with business expectations.
• Growth & Future-Readiness: Ensure infrastructure scalability to meet forecasted growth; proactively assess gaps and recommend solutions to support evolving business needs.
• Preventative maintenance program: Ensure that reliability of equipment and facilities is assured through preventative maintenance and forecasting and planning.
  
  

Qualification

To be considered for the role, you must meet the below requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree or Honors in Mechanical/Electrical/Civil/Industrial Engineering.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in Logistics/Cargo/Warehouse Infrastructure planning and maintenance.
• Working experience related to industrial automation/improvements, equipment sourcing and installation, vendor management, project management, equipment planning, operations research and Total Quality Management.
• Strong commercial & financial analytical ability, diagnostic and project management skills.
• Highly creative and lateral thinking for Productivity and Quality Improvement work
• Good Knowledge of MS Office applications and exposure to statistical tools.

• Mechanical Engineering background.
• Experience related to preventative maintenance & earned value analysis.
• Statistics and data analysis background.
