Assistant Parts Manager

Job Overview

UD Trucks is known for our pioneering technologies and products within the commercial automotive industry.

Responsibilities:

  • Maintain regular communication with dealers to update monthly forecasts, KPIs, and share performance metrics.
  • Collate vehicle population and parts penetration data to uncover opportunities for increasing parts sales.
    Gather the necessary data to determine pricing for new parts. Assist in compiling standard cost, surcharge, suggested retail prices (SRP), and benchmark pricing information.
  • Oversee and monitor the progress of dealer marketing campaigns in alignment with the annual business plan, ensuring timely execution.
  • Coordinate with the SPOL team to address back-order issues and offer alternative solutions to minimize operational downtime.
  • Regularly update and maintain reports and presentations on parts performance, incorporating insights on market trends and sales data.
  • Monitor stock levels and collaborate with the SPOL team to anticipate demand and manage inventory replenishment.
  • Assist dealers in developing recommended parts lists for both current and new truck models.
  • Support dealers to improve the customer experience through better parts availability and service.
  • Work closely with the U&SS and SPOL teams to efficiently address customer needs.
  • Attend the monthly service sales meeting, provide feedback on KPIs and follow up on action plans.
  • Provide support for new market entry by ensuring compliance with market release criteria (MRC), facilitating training, and coordinating logistics setup.

Key interfaces:

  • Service Sales Organisation UD Trucks MEENA FZE.
  • Service Sales/Parts Sales organisation (Importers).
  • SPOL team in Dubai and HQ.

Key performance indicators:

  • Parts Sales growth and achievement of parts sales targets.
  • Dealer satisfaction and performance metrics.
  • Timely execution and effectiveness of marketing campaigns.
  • Reporting accuracy and actionable insights.


Qualification:

Diploma in Automobile / Mechanical Engineering, a graduate degree in Business Management is an added advantage.

Experience:

  • Minimum 4-6 years of experience in the field of commercial vehicle parts.
  • Experience working in regional office.

Knowledge:

  • Trucks technical knowledge – understanding of Service Sales or Service contracts considered as an asset.
  • Passion for & knowledge of about trucks, Parts Sales & Inventory Management.
  • Good understanding of the Middle east and Africa business environment.

Skills:

  • Fluent in English language, Arabic language is considered as an asset.
  • Fully proficient in MS Office and presentation skills.
  • Networking skills (internal and external).
  • Adaptability to different environments and audiences.
  • Flexibility to travel within the MEENA region
