We are looking for a highly skilled Assistant Resident Engineer - Iconic/Interchange Stations with 15 - 18 years of experience in the construction and management of Iconic/Interchange Stations for metro or large-scale infrastructure projects. The successful candidate will oversee the construction of complex Iconic/Interchange Stations, ensuring they meet design specifications, quality standards, and safety regulations while maintaining strict adherence to project timelines and budgets. The Assistant Resident Engineer will be responsible for managing a multidisciplinary team, coordinating with contractors, consultants, and stakeholders, and ensuring the successful completion of Iconic/Interchange Stations.

The Assistant Resident Engineer will be responsible for managing a multidisciplinary team, coordinating with contractors, consultants, and stakeholders, and ensuring the successful completion of Iconic/Interchange Stations.
Responsibilities
- Oversee and manage the day-to-day construction activities for Iconic/Interchange Stations, ensuring that all work is completed according to design specifications, safety standards, and project timelines.
- Coordinate and collaborate with contractors, subcontractors, and design teams to ensure efficient execution of the project and resolve any technical issues that may arise.
- Ensure compliance with local regulations, international standards, and safety requirements throughout the construction of the Iconic/Interchange Stations.
- Supervise all aspects of Iconic/Interchange Stations construction, including structural works, MEP systems (Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing), tunneling, and other critical components.
- Monitor the overall progress of construction and ensure that any delays, disruptions, or issues are addressed and mitigated in a timely manner.
- Review and approve construction method statements, work plans, and technical submittals related to the Iconic/Interchange Stations.
- Perform regular site inspections and quality control checks to verify that construction works are being carried out as per the contract documents and quality standards.
- Act as the primary point of contact for any site-related technical queries and provide expert guidance and solutions to the team.
- Maintain detailed records of site activities, including progress reports, site diaries, incident reports, and meeting minutes for submission to senior management.
- Ensure that all work complies with environmental, health, safety, and welfare standards, and promote a safety-first culture on-site.
- Liaise with the project management team to align construction activities with the overall project schedule and milestones.
- Coordinate the preparation and implementation of risk management plans, ensuring potential risks are identified and mitigated throughout the project.
- Lead and supervise the resolution of technical and engineering issues that may impact the progress of the Iconic/Interchange Stations construction.
- Ensure proper document control and manage the submission of as-built drawings, inspection reports, and other project-related documentation.
- Review contractor progress claims, variations, and payments, ensuring accuracy and compliance with the contract.
- Facilitate the commissioning and handover process for the Iconic/Interchange Stations, ensuring all systems and components are fully operational.
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or related field.
- 15 - 18 years of relevant experience in the construction of Iconic/Interchange Stations, with experience in metro or large-scale infrastructure projects.
- Must have worked on Iconic Interchange Stations.
- In-depth knowledge of Iconic/Interchange Stations construction, including complex tunneling, structural works, MEP systems, and station integration.
- Strong understanding of local regulations, safety standards, and quality control measures in the UAE.
- Demonstrated experience in managing large-scale construction projects, coordinating multidisciplinary teams, and resolving technical challenges.
- Proficiency in project management software, construction scheduling tools, and Microsoft Office.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with contractors, consultants, and stakeholders.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and the ability to make decisions under pressure.
- Fluent in English (written and spoken); Arabic language skills are a plus.
