Hitachi Rail STS is looking for an enthusiastic self-motivated Assoc. Contract Manager/Senior Quantity Surveyor who thrives in a fast-paced environment. The successful candidate is comfortable performing a wide range of tasks from administrative to strategic. The position is based in Abu Dhabi, UAE.

Accountabilities

We are looking for a Assoc. Contract Manager/ Senior Quantity Surveyor who will:

• Responsible and accountable in preparing Interim Payment Applications under the Main Contract, including collating all substantiation documents required by the Client and conducting valuations of work completed.
• Assist the Project and Contracts Management Team in preparing Requests for Proposals (RFPs), Variations and quantum during the Project life cycle.
• Managing and preparing all commercial aspects of the project, including generating accurate cost/cash flow reports, and other pertinent commercial reports.
• Attend commercial meetings with the Client's commercial team, internal meetings, and identify Quantity Surveying and commercial issues requiring attention.
• Coordinate with the Finance Department for the process of receiving payments from the Client.
• Review all the Work Progress Certificates (WPC) issued potentially to Subcontractors, Suppliers, etc engaged in the Project.
• Maintain and update all the commercial trackers related to the Project on a weekly basis.
• Liaise with Project Management, Senior Contracts Managers, Engineering teams, and Client to ensure that project requirements are met.
  
  
  

Required Skills/ Knowledge

• Bachelor's degree in quantity surveying, Civil/Electrical Engineering, or a related field with a minimum 10 years of experience working in the GCC.
• Proven experience as a Senior Quantity Surveyor/Project QS in Railways/Metro signaling, systems and construction projects with a Contractor in the GCC.
• Proven experience working in Design and Build contracts and cost-plus contracts is a must.
• Strong knowledge of construction contracts (FIDIC/Bespoke), quantity surveying principles and cost management.
• Excellent analytical and numerical skills.
• Effective communication and negotiation skills.
• Ability to work well with the team across cross-vertical with an appetite to meet stringent deadlines.
• Relevant professional certification, such as MRICS, is a plus
• Builds effective relationships and has exceptional communication and leadership skills
• Detail oriented with excellent organizational skills
