Job Description

• Assiting and supporting the DCM – L&B team in the maketing and execution of sole-lending, club and syndicated loan transactions
• Ongoing preparation and update of marketing material, transactions documentation, Loan Origination related strategies and MIS reporting, as and when required
• Coordinate with the Loan Origination team in producing term-sheets, pitch-books, documentation, post-closing with external counsel, internal finance, CAD, legal and loan agency
• Credit evaluation and financial analysis of corporate and financial institution clients
• Meet annual targets as provided by the Head of MEA Loan Capital Markets.
  
  

Key Accountabilities

Generic Accountability

• In coordination with the Head of MEA LCM, follow and understand the competitive, regulatory and environmental factors impacting the industry and our clients
• Support the team strategy for growth and sustainability of revenues, returns and market share
• Support the team in wining mandates and deal execution within stipulated deadlines
• Perform global credit markets research on daily/weekly basis and preparing pitch-books
• Handle Loan Origination related documentation (Islamic and Conventional) and support in deal execution.
• Ensure appropriate internal and external documentation and approvals are secured, and proper filing system is set up for each competed transaction to comply with FAB internal and external audit and compliance requirements
• Maintain good relationships with Senior Executives, Operations and other team members
  
  

Specific Accountability

• Support the team on the origination, structuring and execution of syndicated / club loans and bilateral loan facilities, both conventional and Islamic
• Perform the initial due diligence and credit evaluation on borrowers and provide enquiries from a product perspective
• Develop self awareness on the credit standing of the entites; understanding industry behavious and sector trends
• Updating MIS reportings, league table completion; internal fee booking; cost recovery and coordination of clearing these with the relevant internal parties and external cousnels / third party advisors
• Maintain and coordinate the documentation process for deal closure
  
  

Qualifications

Minimum Qualification

• Bachelor’s degree in finance / business or related discipline. MBA and/or professional qualifications
  
  

Minimum Experience

• 5 years’ relevant experience in the banking sector with at least 3 years in loan capital markets or syndications
• Industrial sector expertise is essential
• Sound knowledge of investment appraisals, financial modelling (valuations) and legal/regulatory environments
• The ability to research, analyse and provide independent opinions on lending opportunities and the ability to execute loan transactions
• Fluent in English. Arabic (advantageous)
• Affinity and respect for local cultures of the UAE and the member nations of the GCC
• Must cooperate with other members of the team; a “team player”
• Displays original thinking and creativity – follows policies and procedures
• Generates suggestions for improving work and being able to work under pressure
• Good interpersonal, motivation, resource management & marketing-orientated skills.
