  • Ensure technical control of projects, verifying that all designs meet client requirements and are technically sound.
  • Oversee project resourcing, review RFPs, provide feedback to Project Directors, and prepare deliverables in line with proposals.
  • Supervise the MEP design team, driving innovation and ensuring high-quality solutions.
  • Review QA procedures, sign off on design reviews, and provide necessary feedback.
  • Analyze technical issues, provide solutions, and manage project commercials and deliverables on a monthly basis.
  • Monitor the change management process and ensure alignment with the project RFP.
  • Control project finances, including end-of-month reporting, VO management, invoicing, WIP, and debt.
  • Follow project management procedures and QA practices as per company standards.
  • Report on technical and commercial performance to direct reports, keeping the team updated on key deliverables, deadlines, and progress.
  • Provide performance feedback to direct reports and contribute to strategic planning for MEP projects, especially in new investment areas.
  • Review and endorse MEP design documents for industry compliance.
  • Support client and business development by reviewing project scopes, pricing proposals, and maintaining external relationships.
  • Lead small to medium-scale projects independently and establish KPIs to ensure compliance with company policies.

We'd love to hear from you if you have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in building services with a focus on Mechanical or Electrical Engineering; Master’s degree is a plus.
  • Minimum of 15 years of experience in MEP design, with a background in multi-disciplinary consulting engineering.
  • Proven experience in leading and inspiring large project teams.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information.
  • Demonstrated ability to think creatively and solve problems effectively.
  • Strong business development skills with a proven track record of successful client engagement.
  • In-depth knowledge of MEP codes, standards, and best practices.
  • Experience working in the GCC region is highly desirable.
  • Experience in managing design team resources and complementary resource centers is advantageous.
  • Proficiency in monitoring project budgets, and operational aspects, and handling change management controls (variations) and final accounts to ensure cost control.
  • Experience in client discussions regarding change management controls is a plus.
  • Essential to have strong project commercial awareness.
