Role overview:

The Audiologist role involves examining, diagnosing, and treating patients with hearing, balance, and other ear-related disorders. The role includes conducting hearing tests, recommending assistive devices, and ensuring high-quality patient care in compliance with M42 and DOH/DHA standards.

Responsibilities

• Examine patients to assess hearing and speech/language disorders.
• Conduct hearing evaluations, tests, and medical examinations.
• Develop hearing loss screening programs.
• Plan and conduct treatment in collaboration with healthcare teams.
• Recommend, fit, and dispense assistive devices (e.g., hearing aids, cochlear implants).
• Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment as necessary.
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation.
• Participate in research and conferences on audiology topics.
  
  

Qualifications

A Bachelor's in Audiology, Speech and Hearing (2 years experience) or Speech-Language Pathology (1 year experience) is required; a Master’s in Audiology is preferred. Requires 1-2 years of clinical experience and a valid DOH/DHA license.
