Azure Cloud Engineer

One of our trusted clients - a leading software development firm in a niche industry - is seeking a Cloud Engineer to manage and optimize its Microsoft Azure infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage Azure configurations, access control, and service provisioning requests.
• Ensure compliance with internal cloud policies, standards, and security procedures.
• Automate cloud resource provisioning using Terraform and later Kubernetes (AKS).
• Support security operations through monitoring, vulnerability resolution, and control enhancements.
• Optimize Azure billing through cost-saving initiatives, reporting, and executive insights.
• Maintain and enhance infrastructure performance, applying updates and configuration adjustments as needed.
• Lead service delivery to ensure uptime, security, and quality standards are met.
• Manage configuration items (CIs) and automation tools to maintain system accuracy and audit readiness.

Qualifications

• 5-10 years' experience in a modern Azure cloud environment, ideally within a software engineering context.
• Proven success in cloud migration, automation, and cost optimization.
• Deep knowledge of Azure Services (VMs, Compute, Storage, Networking & Security) especially Load Balancer, Application Gateway, Azure Firewall
• Strong knowledge of Terraform, Kubernetes (AKS), and cloud operations best practices.
• Familiarity with DevOps, CI/CD, and infrastructure-as-code principles.

Preferred

• Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate (AZ-104), Azure Solutions Architect Expert (AZ-305), or Azure DevOps Engineer Expert (AZ-400).
