POSITION SUMMARY
Reports directly to F&B Events Manager and Supervisor. Barista is primarily responsible for preparing drinks orders for the customers according to specified recipes and measuring systems.
Prepares and serves refreshments to customers. Is able to mix and match ingredients in order to create classic and innovative drinks in accordance with customer’s wishes and expectations. Has a good memory, and creatively conveys any messages, explains the benefits of each served drinks. Delivers a high degree of focus while maintaining an extraordinary level of professionalism.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
OPERATION
- Brews and serves a variety of coffee, tea, and soft beverages according to established recipes and customer preferences.
- Consistently delivers high-quality, visually appealing drinks.
- Handles cash and operates the cash register accurately.
- Maintains inventory and equipment by cleaning, troubleshooting, and scheduling repairs.
PRODUCT KNOWLEDGE
- Stays informed about coffee varieties, brewing methods, and industry trends.
- Educates customers about different coffee options and flavors.
- Suggests and upsell additional items, such as pastries or specialty drinks.
- Participates in promotional activities to drive sales.
CUSTOMER SERVICE
- Greets and interacts with customers in a friendly and professional manner.
- Takes customer orders, answers questions about menu items, and makes recommendations.
- Ensures customer satisfaction by addressing any concerns or issues promptly.
HYGIENE & SAFETY
- Maintains a high level of personal hygiene and complies with the Grooming procedures.
- Complies with all Health & Safety regulations while performing daily duties at all times.
- Maintains the cleanliness and condition of the bar and other instruments. Takes responsibility for reporting any hazard and follows up to ensure the execution of required actions.
| POSITION REQUIREMENTS
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
- High School Diploma | GED | College Degree.
- 2-3 years in hospitality.
- 2 years in a specialty cafe/roastery.
- Barista Certification.
EFST Certificate.
HACCP Certificate preferable.
- Excellent barista skills and good latte art. Understands specialty coffee.
- Knowledge of juices/soft drinks preparation and coffee roasting.
- Must understand, communicate in English and carry out instructions in oral or written format.
- Must be physically fit to perform the essential functions.
- Must be able to relate to all levels of management.
- Resourceful, forward-thinking, innovative, and committed.
- Must be willing to add value to enhance health, safety, and productivity.
