With stunning resorts located across the globe and exciting expansion planned, Kerzner International currently has a fantastic opportunity for a Bellman to join the One&Only team at The One&Only The Palm Hotel in Dubai.
With the global growth of our brands, you will be an integral part of the Resort’s success and your role goes beyond developing potential relationships where you will assist and coordinate the daily Bell services activities primarily tasked in providing the hotel guests / patrons the efficient Bell service, to ensure the luggage being delivered collected, stored accurately and promptly on time. Meanwhile, should be more pro-active in practicing salesmanship to promote the hotel products at any guest contact. The bellman also does act as a Doorman and assists at the Front Doors in opening the doors and controlling the traffic at the porte cochere.
Key Duties And Responsibilities
Adhere to all rules and regulations as per service standards policies and procedures.
Must be fully aware of the hotel’s emergency procedures.
Adhere to the grooming policy with no fail and proper body language is adhered to at all times.
To have an in-depth knowledge of hotel’s products to be able to maximize revenue by capturing all opportunities.
Treat internal and external customers fairly to develop and maintain positive working relationships.
Engaging with guests and encouraging feedback of the stay.
Meeting and greeting guests upon arrival at the porte cochere.
Handling in-coming and out-going guest luggage’s and storing it in the right shelves.
Always ensure before guest departure the right number of luggages are correctly placed into the vehicle.
Ensure proper tagging of luggage is done with all the details noted.
Always acknowledge guests by guest name.
Always ensure smooth traffic flow at the porte cochere.
Ensure lobby presence and help the Front Office team.
Escorting guests to their rooms and do an In-Room Orientation.
Assist in booking hotel limousines or arranging taxis for the guests.
Report and follow up on maintenance of any damaged or out for repair equipments in the department.
Suitable candidate will be reporting directly to the Guest Services Manager. He must be highly qualified and must have at least 1-2 years’ experience in a similar role in an upscale luxury hospitality industry or five-star hotels. He must have customer service & reservations background with strong attention to details and analytical skills, must be able to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines with excellent spoken and written communication skills in English and/or another language. Computer literacy including relevant software and experience in using an Opera system. Middle East/GCC experience is an advantage.
