The Business Analyst will play a key role in the implementation and ongoing enhancement of the Direct Debit system within the Central Bank's payment infrastructure. This role involves collaborating with internal stakeholders, regulatory bodies, and technical teams to ensure that the Direct Debit service meets the required compliance, operational, and business standards.
Roles & Responsibilities
Requirements Gathering & Analysis:
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and document business requirements related to Direct Debit operations.
- Analyze current workflows, identify system gaps, and propose system improvements or modifications.
- Ensure that the system meets the Central Bank’s regulatory and compliance standards for payment processing.
- Work closely with the technical teams to design functional specifications and user stories.
- Create comprehensive documentation for the Direct Debit system, including process flows, business rules, and data mapping.
- Serve as a liaison between business stakeholders, IT teams, and third-party vendors.
- Regularly update management and stakeholders on project status, issues, and timelines.
- Analyze Direct Debit system data and provide insights into performance, issues, and areas for improvement.
- Prepare regular reports for internal stakeholders and regulatory bodies.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Information Technology, or a related field. A Master’s degree is a plus.
- Minimum of 7+ years’ experience as a Business Analyst, preferably in the banking or financial services industry.
- It is migration of direct debit system to new system launch by Central Bank of UAE
- Experience in Direct Debit systems or similar payment processing systems is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with regulatory standards related to payment systems (SWIFT, NEFT/RTGS) is a plus.
- Strong understanding of payment systems, specifically Direct Debit, and associated banking processes.
- Familiarity with project management tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence).
- Experience with business analysis tools (e.g., Visio, Axure).
- Knowledge of SQL for data analysis and reporting.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills to interact effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
