Job Role

  • Business Analyst will be responsible to prepare and define the business scope for new projects and programs under Maritime division of Solution Analysis department. Will help guide businesses in improving processes, products, services and software.
  • Business Analyst will take a lead in covering the full cycle from process analysis, benchmarking, process reengineering, requirements analysis and design, while coordinating with other MG departments such as Stakeholder Management, Operations and Digitalization. A preferred candidate will also be responsible of identifying gaps in existing processes/solution, handling Change Management processes to ensure services/solution are up to date and the best practices are adopted.

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Under the guidance of the Business Partner, works on the planning processes associated with the implementation of projects or business improvements.
  • To elicit requirements and drive process change using:
  • Gathering process information (field work, document analysis, stakeholder interviews, etc.)
  • Document existing process flows (as-is)
  • Elaborate initiatives for process improvement
  • Document optimized processes (to-be)
  • Cost-benefit analysis for process improvement initiatives
  • Benchmark processes/services with other service providers and competitors.
  • Function as a liaison with business teams to perform gap analysis of vendor product functionality to business process requirements to elicit business agreement on defined product workflows.
  • Business process adjustments (where possible to align with the product offering).
  • Creating a detailed business analysis, outlining problems, opportunities and solutions for a business.
  • Work with internal and external business partners to document, control and implement business processes, policies as required.
  • Monitor Project Progress, Highlight Risk on timely basis.
  • Keep up-to date on the latest process and IT advancements to automate and modernize systems.
  • Effectively communicating your insights and plans to cross-functional team members and management
  • Provide functional support to development team during execution of development projects.
  • Conduct System demo for internal & External customers/Stakeholders.
  • Lead User Acceptance Testing sessions.
  • Provide functional training to internal stakeholders.
  • Coordinate pilot tests for new products/services developed
  • Coordinate support team during roll-out of new products/services.

Required Skills & Education

  • Experience working as Business Analyst / product owner in a reputed organization.
  • Experience in logistics and maritime industry is a must
  • Candidate with experience of delivering shipping and maritime related projects will be preferred.
  • BS/BA degree in a software or technical industry (or equivalent practical experience).
  • 5+ years’ experience successfully performing in similar roles (business consulting).
  • Strong focus on consultative, solution-based selling, at an Enterprise level.
  • CBAP Certification is preferred.
  • Experience in conducting successful discovery engagements, diving deep into a customer’s operational challenges focused on Order-to-Cash excellence.
  • Problem-solver with skills in risk management and prioritization.
  • Outstanding communication skills (verbal, written and presentation) and are able to present effectively to Executive levels within a customer’s organization.
  • Experience in enterprise projects with a strong working knowledge of development methodologies, frameworks, and technologies.
  • Ability to bridge the gap between a customer's business needs and technical solutions.
