JOB DESCRIPTION

Responsible for managing and maintaining strong business relationships with existing clients as well as researching and seeking collaboration opportunities with new partners to expand the reach of SSMC and grow the business sustainably. Maintains knowledge of marketplace issues, industry trends, competitive information, customer expectations, public policy and other market drivers.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provides support to clients through the development of new programs reflecting best global and regional practices and being the key contact for partnerships
  • Analyses and researches organizations to find and develop new markets and improve volumes, and contacts potential clients to establish rapport and arrange meetings
  • Ensures strong understanding of company products or services as well as business position and competitors to keep business relevant and competitive
  • Develops quotes and proposals for clients including negotiating Payer Agreements, MOU’S, Statements of Work and other related Contract Documents
  • Collaborates and works alongside RCM Directors to establish and maintain strong business relationships with all payers and resolve any Payer performance issues as they arise
  • Develops corporate payer relationships and identifies areas of opportunity to serve these partners better
  • Assists RCM Directors to develop, assess and negotiate Payer contracts with sustainable reimbursement and other contract terms
  • Maintains collaborative and effective relationships with internal and external key stakeholders
  • Ensures compliance with SSMC DOA, policies and procedures
  • Prepares and shares report on Business Development KPI’s and progress
  • Investigates and research the latest in the healthcare industry and creating new opportunities to expand business.
  • Manages to keep abreast of significant economic, social and technical trends, and regulatory guidelines, and circulars as they relate to Healthcare in UAE
  • Provides consultative services to the facility's leadership, on potential opportunities in the market to drive demand and increase business activity in a sustainable way
  • Provides data as needed to assess opportunities and provide management with the information required to make informed and timely decisions
  • Ensures compliance with relevant regulations, standards, and directives from regulatory agencies and third-party payers as well as UAE law
  • Monitors team performance to ensure achievement of department goals
  • Identifies training opportunities and requirements for the team
  • Participates in professional development of self and others
  • Identifies areas of opportunities for improvement and efficiency and developing projects and programs to achieve the goals and mission of the organization
  • Participates in operational committees and task forces as appropriate
  • Ensures Modeling, and teaching the culture of the “needs of the patient come first”


Accountabilities

  • Develops and implements Business Development Strategy
  • Manages to grow market share through various Business Development initiatives
  • Manages growth in Medical Tourism volumes and preparation of packages; pathways and excellent patient experience.
  • Ensures to diversify revenue streams for SSMC


QUALIFICATIONS

Experience :-

Required:

  • 5 years of relevant progressive experience in a similar role
  • Experience in a Healthcare facility/system, preferably in the UAE


Desired:

  • Experience in a large healthcare facility


Educational Qualification: Required:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business; Marketing or related field


Desired:

  • MBA an advantage
