Business Intelligence (BI) Developer

Job Purpose

The BI & Analytics Developer will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining business intelligence solutions. This role involves working closely with various departments to understand their data needs and create analytical solutions that drive business performance. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data analysis, business intelligence, and IT, with excellent problem-solving and communication skills.

Key Accountabilities

• Design and Develop BI Solutions: Create and maintain business intelligence solutions, including data models, reports, and dashboards, to support business decision-making.
• Collaborate with Stakeholders: Work closely with various departments to understand their data needs and provide analytical support. This involves gathering requirements, developing data models, and delivering insights that drive business performance.
• Data Integration and ETL Processes: Develop and maintain data integration and ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes to ensure data accuracy and reliability.
• Data Analysis and Reporting: Perform data analysis to identify trends, patterns, and insights that can inform business strategies. Create and maintain reports and dashboards to present data in a clear and actionable manner.
• Stay Up-to-Date with BI Tools and Technologies: Keep abreast of the latest trends and technologies in business intelligence and analytics. Evaluate and implement new tools and technologies that can enhance the team's capabilities and improve data-driven decision-making.
• Ensure Data Quality and Security: Ensure that all data management practices comply with relevant data quality and security standards. This includes implementing data validation measures and conducting regular audits to identify and mitigate risks.
• Train the end users on Power BI

Qualifications, Experience, Knowledge & Skills:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Science, or a related field. A Master's degree is preferred.
• Knowledge of data warehousing and Familiarity with ETL tools concepts and technologies.
• Experience in Python or other analytics programming languages.
• Understanding of statistical analysis and predictive modelling techniques.
• Proven experience in business intelligence, data analysis, data modelling, data visualization.
• Strong knowledge of BI tools and technologies, such as SQL, Power BI, Tableau, and ETL processes.
• Experience in integration with third party applications using APIs, SFTPs, and relation databases
• Experience in implementation of role based access permissions for BI reports
• Experience in building BI reports for SAP data source is a plus
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Experience with data quality and security standards.
