About the Role:

We are seeking a meticulous and trustworthy Cash Control In-Charge to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of our Cash Control Department. This role is critical in safeguarding substantial sums of cash, foreign currency, and other cash equivalents, while maintaining transparency, accuracy, and integrity in daily financial transactions across our Leisure Facilities.

Key Responsibilities:

Cash Control Operations:

• Handle daily cash deposits and collections.
• Process and verify cash receipts and payments.
• Prepare, pack, and issue cashiers' floats and manage change requests.
• Liaise with cash transit partners and exchange houses for replenishment and FX exchanges.
• Perform daily random cash spot audits.
  
  

Cash Control Reporting:

• Conduct daily reconciliations and share findings with Finance.
• Track daily cash receipts and issuances.
• Identify and report discrepancies to management and revenue team supervisors.
  
  

Cash Control Accounting:

• Prepare cash-related journal entries.
• Maintain accurate records of cash balances.
• Perform monthly petty cash closing.
• Ensure all cash transactions are accurately posted in the accounting system.
  
  

Controls and Compliance:

• Maintain cash control documentation in line with operational policies.
• Participate in internal and external compliance training related to cash operations.
  
  

System Management:

• Generate reports required for daily reconciliations.
• Identify and report system errors or issues.
• Train cash handling teams on system usage.
• Support system upgrades and changes impacting cash transactions.
  
  

Qualifications & Skills:

Education:

• Essential: Higher Secondary or Diploma
• Desirable: Bachelor's degree in finance/accounting or professional Finance/Accounting qualifications
  
  

Experience:

• Essential: Minimum 3 years' experience in a cash handling environment
• Desirable: Additional experience in Finance, Accounting, or Banking
  
  

Skills & Competencies:

• Proficient in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook & Teams
• High attention to detail and ability to work under pressure
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to maintain strict confidentiality
