Purpose and Objectives for the Role

The Cashier Admin plays a vital role in ensuring accurate and secure cash handling operations across all retail units within Abu Dhabi Airport. This position is responsible for daily cash reconciliations, managing float integrity, and working closely with Finance and third-party vendors to ensure smooth cash operations. The role also contributes to broader operational and loss prevention tasks, supporting both the Retail Operations and Ops & Control teams where needed.

Overall Responsibilities

  • Manage and reconcile all cash transactions and float allocations across retail outlets daily.
  • Prepare and submit daily cash reports in collaboration with the Finance team.
  • Liaise with third-party vendors such as Travelex and Transguard to coordinate cash collections and deliveries.
  • Perform spot checks on staff floats and personal cash to support loss prevention efforts and mitigate risk.
  • Maintain accurate records of all cash discrepancies and escalate any issues as necessary.
  • Provide operational support to the wider Ops & Control team when required.
  • Uphold company policies related to financial handling, internal controls, and regulatory compliance.
  • Manage all cash payments and float allocations across retail outlets daily

Skills Required

  • Prior experience in cash handling, reconciliation, or retail finance administration.
  • Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy in managing numerical data.
  • Knowledge of basic accounting principles and reconciliation processes.
  • Effective communication and coordination skills, particularly with cross-functional teams and third parties.
  • Demonstrated understanding of loss prevention practices and controls.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and reporting systems.

Qualifications Required

  • High school diploma or equivalent; further education in Accounting, Finance, or Business is a plus.
  • Cash handling or accounting certifications are advantageous.
