Job Summary

At IIQAF, we are looking for a reliable, detail-oriented Cashier to join our team. The ideal candidate must possess excellent customer service skills and a willingness to go the extra mile when needed. The essential duties and responsibilities of this position include counting money, processing transactions, and providing excellent customer service. The Cashier will also be responsible for maintaining cleanliness throughout the area and ensuring cash registers are organized correctly.

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for handling customer transactions in a confident, thoughtful, and organized manner.

• Assist customers with purchases and answer questions they may have.

• Register cashier sales, accurately, and promptly.

• Count cash in cash drawer and ensure it’s correct to the total sales on the register.

• Receive and process accurate payment for purchases.

• Ensure all items that are on sale or have discounts are properly discounted at the register.

• Keep register area tidy and presentable at all times.

• Maintain accurate and complete cash balances throughout the shift.

• Properly record transactions and ensures all customer contact information is correct.

• Promote loyalty program and provide customers with membership cards.

• Resolve customer issues and concerns in a professional manner.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent.

• First-hand customer service or cashier experience.

• Knowledge of basic cash handling procedures.

• Ability to maintain calm composure in stressful situations.

• Ability to stay organized and work efficiently in a high-volume retail environment.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• Ability to work flexible hours and handle the pressure of a fast-paced work environment.

• Computer literacy and basic knowledge of POS systems is preferred.
