Job Purpose

The Category Specialist – Jewellery & Fashion supports the growth and management of Floward’s jewellery and fashion collections by driving product planning, sourcing, and category performance. The role contributes to assortment development, pricing strategies, promotional planning, and supplier collaboration to ensure alignment with customer preferences and market trends. The Specialist also plays a critical role in analyzing sales data, coordinating with cross-functional teams, and ensuring category profitability and competitiveness.

Key Responsibilities

Partnership & Supplier Management

• Support the identification and onboarding of jewellery and fashion brand partners.
• Assist in negotiating commercial terms to secure competitive margins and maximize profitability.
• Coordinate replenishment orders and manage operational workflows with suppliers.
  
  

Market Research & Data Analytics

• Track jewellery and fashion trends, competitive activity, and customer preferences.
• Conduct sales and performance analysis to identify opportunities and risks.
• Generate insights to inform assortment, pricing, and promotional strategies.
  
  

Portfolio & Assortment Management

• Work with country managers and design teams to curate a strong, competitive product portfolio.
• Evaluate products by design, material, brand, and price positioning.
• Collaborate with merchandising teams to optimize product presentation and displays.
  
  

Financial & Commercial Planning

• Contribute to pricing strategies balancing profitability and competitiveness.
• Support assortment and promotional planning aligned with financial objectives and seasonal calendars.
• Assist in demand forecasting and inventory planning to minimize stockouts and overstocking.
  
  

Category Development & Expansion

• Coordinate with procurement and design teams to launch new product categories.
• Identify emerging opportunities based on customer demand and market insights.
  
  

Cross-Functional Collaboration

• Work closely with supply chain, marketing, and operations teams to ensure smooth execution of category initiatives.
• Provide inputs to marketing campaigns ensuring alignment with category objectives.
  
  

Skills And Qualifications

Education

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Fashion Management, or related field.
  
  

Experience

• 3–5 years of experience in category management, merchandising, or buying, preferably within jewellery, fashion, or luxury goods.
• Experience in portfolio curation, vendor negotiations, and category planning.
• Exposure to GCC markets and consumer behavior is an advantage.
  
  

Technical Skills

• Proficiency in data analysis and reporting tools.
• Strong computer literacy with category management or ERP tools.

• Strong organizational and planning ability.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
