Job Brief:

We are seeking an experienced Chemist to join our client’s quality control team in the white cement industry. The ideal candidate will be responsible for conducting chemical analyses, maintaining laboratory equipment, and supporting quality control initiatives. The role requires a meticulous approach to ensure the highest level of accuracy and efficiency in production processes.

Job Responsibilities:

• Conduct chemical analysis of various products daily.
• Ensure accuracy in analysis and correlate findings with plant performance.
• Maintain detailed records of analyses and support the Quality Control Engineer in daily activities.
• Collaborate with shift chemists and fulfill their duties when necessary.
• Propose and implement cost-saving methods and alternative raw material products.
• Monitor and maintain records of chemical usage and consumption patterns.
• Raise timely chemical requirements to the Quality Control Engineer.
• Ensure proper maintenance of laboratory equipment, including furnaces, heaters, and Blaine apparatus.
• Maintain high housekeeping standards in the laboratory.
• Train personnel through knowledge-sharing programs.
• Identify areas for optimization of quality modulus parameters.
• Monitor the implementation of QMS (Quality Management System) and EMS (Environment Management System).
• Perform additional tasks as assigned by the Quality Control Engineer/Manager.

Job Requirements:

• 5-10 years of experience in the white cement plant industry.
• MSc/BSc in Chemistry or a related field.
• Proficiency in MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Experience in quality control for white cement is highly preferred.
• Strong communication skills (written and verbal) for effective coordination.
• Excellent time management and organizational skills.
