Job Purpose:

The Chief Accountant will oversee all accounting activities, ensuring accuracy and compliance with financial regulations and company policies. This role includes managing the accounting team, preparing financial statements, and providing financial insights to support decision-making within the organization.

Job Responsibilities:

• Manage the daily operations of the accounting department, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger.
• Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, ensuring accuracy and adherence to accounting standards.
• Oversee the preparation and monitoring of budgets, analyzing variances, and providing insights to senior management.
• Ensure compliance with UAE tax laws and regulatory requirements, coordinating with auditors and tax consultants as needed.
• Conduct financial analysis and cost control measures to improve the company's financial performance.
• Supervise and mentor junior accountants, providing guidance and support to enhance team performance.
• Review and improve accounting processes to increase efficiency and accuracy.
• Maintain and update financial records, ensuring they are complete and readily accessible for audits.
• Provide support for financial forecasting and risk analysis as required by management.
• Assist with financial audits and liaise with external auditors to facilitate annual audit processes.

Job Requirements:

• Minimum of 10 years of UAE experience in accounting within the construction industry.
• Professional certification (CA, CMA, or ACCA) is mandatory.
• Strong analytical and financial reporting skills, with attention to detail.
• Proficiency in accounting software and MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
