Programmers Force is seeking an experienced and visionary Chief Data Scientist to lead our data science and AI initiatives. This pivotal role requires a strategic thinker with expertise in fintech, regtech, advanced AI methodologies, and product development. The ideal candidate will drive the organisation's innovation by building scalable machine learning models, deploying advanced AI solutions, and guiding the development of data-driven products that align with our business goals.

Key Responsibilities

• Strategic Leadership
• Define and implement a data science and AI strategy that aligns with the company's vision and objectives
• Explore innovative applications of AI and machine learning to optimise business processes, enhance compliance, and drive new product development
• Ensure the ethical use of AI technologies and compliance with global data privacy regulations
• Product Development
• Collaborate with product teams to design and develop data-driven products and services
• Leverage AI and data analytics to create innovative product features that address customer needs
• Oversee the integration of machine learning models into products for scalability and performance
• Team Building & Leadership
• Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing team of data scientists, engineers, and analysts
• Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and data-driven decision-making
• Data Science & AI Development
• Develop and deploy large-scale machine learning models, including LLMs and computer vision solutions, for impactful applications
• Use advanced statistical methods and predictive analytics to address complex challenges
• Oversee the creation of scalable cloud-based data platforms and ETL pipelines
• Regulatory Insights & Risk Management
• Drive compliance analytics and ensure adherence to financial regulations
• Partner with compliance teams to evaluate the impact of regulatory changes on business operations
• Cross-Functional Collaboration
• Collaborate with engineering, product, and risk management teams to integrate data science solutions seamlessly into workflows
• Communicate findings and actionable recommendations effectively to stakeholders
• Continuous Innovation
• Stay updated with advancements in AI, including NLP, computer vision, and generative models
• Evaluate and implement cutting-edge tools, technologies, and methodologies to enhance data capabilities

Preferred Skills & Expertise

• Extensive experience with cloud platforms such as AWS and Azure
• Strong knowledge of data engineering, ETL processes, and database management (SQL, MongoDB, etc.)
• Proficiency in machine learning frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch, Scikit-learn)
• Expertise in deploying LLMs and advanced NLP models into production
• Solid foundation in computer vision modelling techniques
• Understanding of fintech and regtech compliance analytics and risk management frameworks

Qualifications & Experience

• Master's or Ph.D. in Data Science, Machine Learning, Computer Science, Statistics, or a related field
• 10+ years of professional experience, including at least 5 years in a leadership role within data science and AI
• Proven track record in developing AI/ML-driven products with measurable business outcomes
• In-depth understanding of financial regulations and compliance issues in fintech and regtech
• Advanced programming skills in Python, R, or similar languages
• Hands-on experience with deploying and scaling AI solutions in cloud-based environments
• Strong problem-solving, analytical thinking, and communication skills
