About the Role:
We are in search of a Chief Engineer - Operations Research to assume a pivotal role in leading the Operations Research function within our System Design department. In this critical position, the selected candidate will be entrusted with the responsibility of overseeing the development and execution of operational models, conducting thorough analyses, and delivering essential insights. The Chief Engineer - Operations Research plays a central role in enhancing the overall effectiveness of our missile products, contributing significantly to the success of our cutting-edge projects.

In this critical position, the selected candidate will be entrusted with the responsibility of overseeing the development and execution of operational models, conducting thorough analyses, and delivering essential insights. The Chief Engineer - Operations Research plays a central role in enhancing the overall effectiveness of our missile products, contributing significantly to the success of our cutting-edge projects.
Key Accountabilities:
- Conduct operational analysis of our products, employing advanced Operations Research methodologies.
- Develop operational models for our products, ensuring accuracy and relevance in diverse operational environments.
- Create air, land, and sea scenarios to simulate real-world operational conditions, contributing to the comprehensive evaluation of missile systems.
- Utilize Monte-Carlo simulations to quantify uncertainties and determine the operational effectiveness of our missile systems.
- Report findings and insights to product lines and Head of System Design, providing actionable recommendations for product enhancements.
- Develop and execute the strategic vision for the Operations Research function, aligning it with the overarching goals of the company's missile production division.
- Lead a team of Operations Research professionals, providing guidance, mentorship, and fostering a culture of continuous learning and development.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to seamlessly integrate Operations Research findings into the broader product development lifecycle.
- Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in Operations Research, driving innovation within the department.
- Minimum: Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field.
- Preferred: Master's or Ph.D. in Operations Research, Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in Operations Research, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
- Preferred: 15+ years of experience and Prior experience in the defense or aerospace industry.
- Proficiency in Python, C++, Matlab, Full System Simulation, Ansys STK or equivalent.
- Strong understanding of missile systems and their operational dynamics
- Published research in the field of Operations Research or related disciplines.
