What will you be doing?
As Chief Financial Officer (CFO) at Decentralized Masters, you'll play a pivotal role in shaping our financial strategy and ensuring long-term financial sustainability as we scale globally. Reporting to the CEO, you will be part of the leadership team driving operational excellence and our ambitious growth plans.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Financial Leadership
- Develop and oversee financial strategies aligned with company growth objectives.
- Lead mergers and acquisitions, from target identification to integration, ensuring alignment with our long-term vision.
- Evaluate economic trends and forecast their impact on the organization.
- Identify and execute opportunities for expansion into new product areas and regions.
- Oversee and manage budgets and allocations across multiple entities.
Mergers & Acquisitions
- Lead M&A activities, including deal structuring, due diligence, negotiations, and integration planning.
- Build and maintain relationships with stakeholders, including investment bankers and target companies.
- Identify acquisition opportunities that align with our strategic goals and execute transactions seamlessly.
Financial Management and Compliance
- Direct the preparation of financial statements, budgets, and shareholder reports.
- Ensure compliance with corporate financial laws, taxes, and risk management practices across the UAE, US, and other jurisdictions.
- Supervise financial reporting, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
Fundraising and Investor Relations
- Lead capital-raising initiatives, including engaging with private equity funds, particularly in the USA and MENA regions.
- Maintain and leverage a strong network of investors, particularly in the private equity space.
- Provide reliable financial forecasts and articulate financial performance to potential investors.
Team and Vendor Management
- Supervise finance personnel, including accountants.
- Manage vendor relationships and negotiate contracts.
Reporting and Analysis
- Deliver actionable financial insights to support strategic decision-making.
- Analyze operational efficiencies and recommend optimizations to improve financial performance.
What will you bring?
Experience:
- Minimum 5 years in financial management roles; startup experience preferred.
- Proven track record as CFO or similar leadership role.
- Experience with investment banking, venture capital, and fundraising.
- Familiarity with MENA and US corporate financial laws and tax practices.
Qualifications:
- BSc/BA in Accounting, Finance, or related field (MSc/MBA preferred).
- Strong expertise in treasury management and financial forec
- asting.
- Background in education or financial industries is a plus.
Skills:
- Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and strategic thinking capabilities.
- Excellent knowledge of corporate finance, taxes, and risk management.
- Ability to manage and lead in a remote, global setup.
